“ This place is a gem. BBQ is the main event (the fish is excellent, too). Real pulled (not chopped) pork, smoked over real wood. Like your momma used to make. The ribs are great,too. The place is quite small,with a few tables on the outdoor patio. Very nice, friendly people. You simply must stop if you are driving by. Or, make a special trip. You will smell the wood smoke a quarter mile away. ”

“ These folks KNOW their food! We got a shrimp basket and a rack of ribs. The shrimp was butterflied and fried to perfection. There was just enough breading for crunch and flavor while still keeping the delicious fresh shrimpy flavor. I could write a ballad about those ribs. They were cooked perfectly, so tender and falling off the bone. The dry rub was delicious. They came with a mustard sauce and a bbq sauce and it was hard to choose which was better. Especially since they were perfectly seasoned— no sauce necessary! It’s hard for me not to use the word perfect to describe their food, it was what we didn’t even know we needed til we were full to bursting. It’s a tiny place for either takeout or outside seating. Wonderful customer service and fantastic flavors. We can’t wait to come back! ”

“ The food was outstanding and the people were so, so nice. We were only in town 2 days, but we ate there twice! The shrimp in the basket was so lightly breaded that you could really enjoy the taste of the shrimp. The baby back ribs were so nicely smoked and tender. There was no conversation at the table because we were enjoying the food so much. Even the remoulade and tarter sauce for the po boy were tasty. This is my favorite place by far. To bad they don't deliver to Michigan. ”

“ Loved the smoke whole Turkey for Christmas . Tasty and perfect . Ready when they said it would be. Offered me a drink while I waited( I was early). Told me how to warm it up. Great food here. Earlier in the week we got St. Louis ribs and potato salad. Delicious. Eat here. Local and wonderful. ”

“ My husband and I stopped by on a whim and were not disappointed. Pulled pork is savory and St. Louis ribs will make your mouth water. The honey mustard sauce in on point. Service is fast and friendly. Can’t wait to try everything on the menu. ”

“ After passing by the $20/rack of ribs sign dozens of times, we decided to give them a try. We called ahead and it rolled to voice mail. We tried again and got through and reserved 2 racks for a later carry-out. We called back to add slaw to our order.... call rolled to voice mail. Dialed again and got through. Don’t give up! Staff were very nice. The aroma of the smoked was awesome. Our meal was very good.... ribs were meaty, tasty and tender, with two sauces on the side. Slaw was good. We’ll be back. ”

“ We have passed this restaurant many times but today after a joyride to Huntington Island we decided to stop BECAUSE $20 dollars for a SLAB of St.Louis ribs ( on special).. c'mon. Worth a 'why not give them a try?' Assured by everyone waiting, they ate worth it and we would be back. Served to us wrapped in foil and hot for the trip home. Decision to not save them for dinner was made. Ok then, they were still hot, falling off the bone, delicious; without sauce , but with the sauce oh my goodness. This review is from someone not big on pork ribs,(love my beef), but these were SO worth the money. Told by another patron that they are cooked for 12 hours. So stop by, give em a try, they have more on the menu ( see pic). ”
